Tis a good temperature to be growing pineapples.

For the pineapples, at least. Not the pineapple growers, of course, especially if they hate the heat as much as I do. And it's a rather overcast day, too. With lots of humidity sloshing about.

Note: On the title of the post, I recall from several torturous Geography lessons that the optimum temperature for pineapples to grow is 32 degrees, Celcius. Never understood why people had to name a band after the dreaded F that makes no sense (freezing at 32? Blimey.), though it has quite nice eye candy. *bwahwahahahas at turtle* =P

Anyway. To those not in the know, I broke my glasses for the third time when I was in Taiping. The story is a rather embarrassing one and I'd rather not say it here because I'll look silly.

Also, pimples have been acting up worse then ever, with tentative relation to the BB cream or the fact that I'm gonna be bleeding soon. The fact that I get pimples before my periods does not endear it to me. Indeed, if not for breeding and hormonal reasons, I might entertain the thought of stopping them forever. >_>

After checking: It is due in 6 days. Feel free to record my behavior changes.

And I tried out a new method of making rabbit ears with clay yesterday, as part of my project to make figures of the Rabbits and the Wolf-Rabbit from Doubt. Unlike the original method, which entailed sticking a piece of wire of toothpick (depending on figure size), I decided to use twist ties, since my mom has this big green roll of it. So I wrap the twist tie in clay, cut a bit to shape it with scissors, bend it to taste and put it upside down to harden before putting it in the head. They stand better if you leave a bit of twist tie outside to stabilize them when attaching to the head.

I had a bit of trouble making the face of the wolfrabbit, since it ought to have a flatter snout and teeth and all, but eventually I tore off part of the clay, flattened it and cut it into a shape with the teeth, and wrapped it around the rest of the clay so that the teeth were clearly visible. I should've made it longer, but overall I'm quite happy with the way it worked out.

Observe:

My version:

Overall, it doesn't look too bad if you don't see it up close (if you did you would note how the head is not fully connected to the body, though better than the Rabbit prototype, whose head can be removed), and the wolf has called dibs on it.

Anyone interested in anything clay made? Do tell me, and give details on what you want it to be like. ^^
